A one-day course for Primary, Secondary School Teachers and Museum Educators

A visit to the museum will encourage students to read and enjoy looking at paintings, how paintings can link with other subjects, and to student´s own experiences.

The Course Programme will include ways into looking at art:

• A personal approach
• Ways into the subject
• Ways into the object
• Ways into the context
• A work in focus
• Preparing for the visit
• Follow-up work

Maria Suardi, practising artist and art educator, was awarded a scholarship by the British Council to do research work on ‘Education through Art’ in England. From 2004 to 2013 she taught ‘Language through Art’ at the Teacher’s Training course at St. Bartholomew’s School Rosario.
