This seminar will offer a state-of-the-art talk about CLIL in EFL/ESL contexts and will then explore CLIL in international coursebooks and how teachers can adapt CLIL to their own pedagogic situation. Practical aspects such as lesson planning and materials development for language-driven CLIL will be discussed.

Darío Banegas is a teacher of English and works as a curriculum designer and teacher educator at the Ministry of Education in Chubut. He holds an MA in ELT and is a PhD student at Warwick University. His main research interests are: CLIL, materials development, and teacher development through action research.
