Fundación Lúminis, finalist in 2019 Educational Data Hackaton

Last June 1 and 2, Fundación Lúminis took part in 2019 Educational Data Hackaton, organized by Argentinos por la Educación (Argentines for Education) observatory, at the premises of Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).

Approximately 30 teams of professionals in the area of data and educational technology were formed there.

Fundación Lúminis took part in a work team together with physicists and specialists in Data Science, in order to apply machine learning technology to the organization and classification of laws and regulations, with the purpose of designing their mapping projects.

With this project, our team became finalist together with four other groups, who approached other challenges, such as data analysis of reattendance and abandonment in the connectivity plan for rural schools.

The jury included educational and Data Science specialists, among whom was Irene Kit.
